Age of Conan and Why Video Games Suck

Age of Conan is a great example of why video games (especially MMORPGs) suck. When the game first came out, you could make female warriors with giant breasticles. Even better, you could view your character topless.

I know, I know… You are thinking I’m crazy because making huge breasted topless warrior chicks does suck. I’m with you on that. Where the suck comes in is when the makers of this buggy game release a patch that also happens to severely reduce the cup size of your electronic lady.

I learned about this via Wayne of LegendsofWayne fame. Here are his comments on the Age of Conan patch…

Fe2O3, a faithful reader, sent in a picture displaying the horrors of what happens if you play too much Age of Conan. Wayne needs to be careful so he doesn’t have the same problem that our reader’s roommate has now. His AoC character’s breast shrank but his man boobs grew 3 full cup sizes.

Warning: Playing computer games all day and while consuming nothing but Doritos and Mountain Dew will cause you to develop huge man boobs.

Table top games don’t come back later and shrink your characters boobs. It’s your character, draw it up how you want. Everyone knows that the game related art is all about giant breasted women in various stages of undress. For example, D&D since the 70s up until now (I haven’t reviewed the 4e books just yet) has consistently included artwork that appeals to the 13 year-old in my head (even when I was only 8).

Also, you get a lot more exercise than most people would think. Maybe it’s all the dice throwing or the lugging around lots of books or working a LARP session in every once and a while… I don’t know how, I just know that it is true…
